Outstanding quality is no coincidence, but the result of stringent quality control procedures.

This applies in translating just like anywhere else. Therefore, my workflow process encompasses no less than five steps, as follows:

• Translation
  
• Research
  
• Proofreading

  -	Comparing translation with the original
  -	Is anything missing?
  -	Has everything been understood correctly?
  -	Everything verified (by research or otherwise)?

• Editing/Copywriting

  -	Does the text "flow", like the original?

• Final honing

  -	Taking a step back to judge overall impression one last time

EN 15038

My services are rendered in compliance with EN 15038, a European quality assurance standard setting out a series of rules and criteria for application to translations.

This standard outlines the essential aspects in processing translation jobs and addresses all parties involved in the process, including the client.

The stated aim of this standard is to provide an objective basis, to the extent that such is possible, on which to judge the quality of a translation.
